A major goal for the National Center for Pavement Preservation (NCPP) is to maintain and expand its comprehensive, state-of-the-art, resource library for pavement preservation practitioners. The library is structured to enable users to access material from a general directory with topics such as:

• Active Studies and Research
• Future Studies and Research
• General Reference Materials

A wide range of Pavement Preservation, Preventive Maintenance, Pavement Repair and Rehabilitation topics are covered by the documents in the library. Examples include (but are not limited to):

• Chip, Fog, and Slurry Seals
• Cold In-Place Recycling
• Microsurfacing
• Thin Overlays
• Full Depth Reclamation
• Seal Coatings
• Crack Filling and Sealing
• NovaChip

In addition, a vast assortment of published and closed source reference materials are also available for topics such as Pavement Management Systems (PMS), the establishment of Pavement Preservation programs, and the selection of pavement maintenance and repair materials such as emulsions, binders, and aggregate.

The library index includes a comprehensive listing of research study reports, published papers, technical briefings, relevant industry information about best practices, materials, and equipment. Documents in the library may also be located through our advanced search page.

References are obtained from both national and international sources, as appropriate. The library is "virtual" in operation, i.e. although descriptive information about particular documents will be posted with active links, NCPP may not necessarily possess and host the actual document. A minimum description of the contents of each document consists of an abstract, author(s), publication date, availability, an acquisition source, and the means to acquire it (either direct download from NCPP or via hypertext link.
